YAMAHA BANSHEE ALL YEAR MODELS. This kit is designed for higher H.P. engines that are drag racing only in conjunction with an override transmission. We use YZF1000 street bike cork style friction plates which are proven to be very durable along with our smooth steel plates and short style springs that are 25% stiffer than stock. One of the keys to our clutch kit is the smooth steel plates. “Dimpled or textured” steel plates WILL NOT handle as much H.P or last as long as smooth steel plates. “Dimples” are concave in shape which reduces surface material causing less contact area which results in premature clutch slippage. This kit has a VERY stiff clutch pull and is typically only used in drag racing applications that have an override transmission where the use of the clutch is limited to the launch and disengagement at the end of the run.
