Use PPE! Keep away from children! Caution! Instructions: Part 1 – introduction to the basics of working with UV-curable photopolymer EXPORESIN R-50. Photopolymer is a liquid synthetic resin that has a special property – when exposed to ultraviolet light, it hardens and becomes similar to transparent rubber. But it hardens only where the ultraviolet light has illuminated it, and where the ultraviolet light has not hit, it remains liquid and can be washed out with water. Our task will be to illuminate the polymer with ultraviolet light through “mask”. This mask is called a print negative. We will only light up the areas that need to harden. And where there were black opaque areas on the negative, illumination will not occur and the polymer will remain liquid. And in the future, we will wash it out with water. The set includes a ready-made negative. We will use it to create our first cliche. Put on your gloves and glasses! Create a cassette: lower glass-negative-frame (with a photopolymer poured into it)- coating film – upper glass. We fix this cassette with two clips. Exposure: place the lamp over the cassette and light the side with the cover film for 1 minute , and then the side with the negative for 1 minute and 15 seconds . The negative side is exposed longer!!! If necessary, the exposure time can be adjusted. Experience with determining the time: – pour a little polymer and put it under a UV lamp, try it with a toothpick, after what time the layer will harden about 1.5 mm – this is the time of the base. Add 15-25% – this is the time of the negative film. (The diode UV lamps included in the kit can have different UV radiation intensity, there were lamps in the range from 30sec/40sec to 5 min/5.5 min). Cliche washing: we disassemble the cassette and wash the cliche that has formed inside the frame, with water and detergent. We stick the finished cliche on the handle, lean it against the pad and check the impression of our first print. Part 2 – creating an individual negative based on your own photo and making the ” PERSONALITY ” seal. Photos taken on a plain light background are better suited for processing into a negative for printing. Try to avoid uneven lighting of the face. You can also attach a photo from the gallery of your smartphone. These photos can be pre-processed in a photo editor or in some graphic program (retouching, aging, anime, cartoon, etc.) – the bot will process them as well. After receiving a negative image from the bot that suits you, print it out on a laser printer. If the printer is connected to your smartphone via wi-fi, send it to print directly. If the printer is connected to a computer, as usually happens, then you need to send the negative image file to this computer. For example, you can send a negative file from your smartphone by email to yourself and, after opening the email on your computer, download the attached file. When the desired file with the negative image is in your computer, you need to adjust the image scale so that when printing out the diameter of the round zone on the negative is approximately 40 mm. This is the diameter of a standard round seal. The easiest way to do this is to right – click on the negative file – “copy”. Next: “WORD” – “insert” – “table” – “4*1”, in the 1st cell “insert”. Left – click on the inserted image and the outline with circles at the corners will light up. Take one corner and pull it inwards to the desired size. Try to print – first on paper to make sure, that the scale of the image is acceptable, and if everything is fine, on the matte film from the kit. After printing the negative on the film, you need to treat it with a toner blackener. Hold the film with the negative horizontally and drip liquid from the bubble onto it so that the negative is completely wet. Turn it vertically at once – the excess liquid will merge. When the negative becomes dry, you will see that the black areas have become completely opaque. Next, follow the algorithm described in Part 1. You can process any image and turn it into a stamp!
