This is what Bing Co-Pilot said when I asked: “ Certainly! Comics and Magazines is a collaborative work by Judith Hemming and Jane Leggett , published in 1984 by The English Centre . This booklet focuses on a study of comics and magazines for teenagers, particularly as part of a project on English and Gender for use in schools. It includes analysis of an alternative magazine called Kicks and provides some Teacher’s Notes 1 . If you’re interested in exploring the world of comics and magazines from an educational perspective, this publication might be worth checking out!” Checking out reveals abebooks, two copies, one with a school stamp from the early 90s for £1.40+, and one with no image for £20.60+ billed as a 1 st edition pamphlet. It’s currently unavailable on amazon or alibris, and Co-Pilot says it has no access to images of it. Judith Hemming appears to be the lead author and is a Gestalt practitioner, who appears to have kept herself off of Wikipedia, and does not mention this book on her other web appearances. This 60-page staple-bound publication is in super condition, but with some marking on the back cover and what looks like the impression of a paperclip. There is some colour rub on the front cover, by the swimmer’s left shoulder, where a price sticker may have been removed. The contents are pristine and designed for photocopying. The staples show signs of rust on the spine but are clean inside. Some of the comics and magazines mentioned inside no longer exist. The whole thing appears to be a teaching resource aimed at countering sexist influences on youngsters. It will arrive bagged and boarded in a C4 envelope weighing 280g as a large letter. The photos form part of this description. Additional photos and questions answered on request. Some of my packaging may have been pre-used. Combined postages available (wait for invoice) and collection always available from N6 6HL. All items over £20 will always be sent tracked – items under that will usually be sent 2 nd class and only tracked by prior request. Overseas buyers need to satisfy themselves that Ebay’s GSP dispatch system suits them before bidding. Free postage offers do not necessarily apply to combined packs. Most of my mailings use around 43g of packaging (comics) or 110g (book mailers), and the descriptions usually include a gross weight so you can check postal prices. When combining items, note the full weight of the first item, and then subtract 40g from the weights of each subsequent item being combined (or 100g for books) – and in most cases that will be the new weight of your combined pack.
