Frame has some knicks. ARTIST BIOGRAPHY Artist in conté crayon, born in Wandsworth, London. He studied at Royal Canadian College of Art and by 1925 was an assistant art director at Warner Bros in the USA. He was by profession a film art director working on films that included ‘The Day of the Triffids’ and the television series ‘The Saint’ and very many more. Dawe exhibited at the RA, RI, ROI, and RWS. Some authorities state that he was a member of the United Society of Artists. This is in fact incorrect as while in the USA he joined the Union of Architects hence the confusion
