Pop Art acrylic painting of a portrait of Captain James T. Kirk on canvas set in a wood frame. William Shatner was the actor that played the roll of Captain James T. Kirk in the original Star Trek television series. The artist (Freen) that created the painting signed the painting at the lower right along with 95 to indicate the painting was done in 1995. The name of the painting is “Kirk’s Toupee”. There are rocket and flying saucer spacships along with small round Earth planets that are in a repeated pattern along the outside edges of the painting. William Shatner was losing his hair when he played the role of Captain Kirk on Star Trek and wore a toupee during filming. Freen used bright acrylic paints on the canvas and used a bright yellow paint for the wood frame. The framed dimensions are approximately 14.5 inches in width by 18.5 inches in height. Please see all 18 photographs as the photographs are part of the description. The painting and frame are in excellent condition. A hanging wire is affixed to the back and the framed acrylic painting is ready to be hung on your wall. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me before bidding.
