Berg Larsen Berg Larsen Tenor METAL 105/2/SMS (Refaced) for tenor This is a Belle Glasen tenor saxophone mass piece. It is a short SMS with a short facing. Usually SMS is about 25mm, but this one seems to have been refaced set at about 23mm. It is easy to control and good as a first Larsen. The table, facings, and baffles seem to have been refaced, but the overall sound is well-defined, and although it is a current type, it does not have an unpleasant angular sound, and I think it has a relatively calm tone. Since it is not a barrette chamber, it also has a somewhat link-like thickness to it.
