Wonderful in salad dressings and any other way you use sweet basil. It is ideal for tea and potpourri. Lemon Basil contains Limonene and Citral which gives it that wonderful lemon scent. Lemon basil tastes similar to regular basil at first, but then provides a light lemon aftertaste. This Basil is great for Pesto!!! Add fresh Lemon basil to your salads, marinades, sauces or even desserts. Lemon Basil can also be used as an ornamental plant in your garden. With its bright green leaves, light pink flowers & compact growing habit it is perfect as a boarder plant. Lemon Basil can also be used for teas, potpourris, and oil & vinegar infusions. Herbalists recommend Basil tea for stomach cramps, vomiting and constipation. Basil has been described as having a slight sedative action, which would explain why it is sometimes recommended for nervous headaches and anxiety.
