Abstract Organic Brutalist Wabi Sabi Mid Century Modernist style Studio Art Pottery. Hand built sculpture, vase, vessel with a tortured gouged scraped altered surface. Suitable for Ikebana flower arranging. Matte to glossy bubbling off-white, charcoal, cobalt, moss green oxide brown glazed surfaces. Brown colored stoneware ceramic body. Resembles stone rock mineral surfaces in nature. Incised “Myrna” or “Myrne” at underside. Uncertain of artist, exact age, provenance – reminiscent to us of the work of Paul Soldner, Peter Voulkos, Brian Rochefort, and others. In Excellent vintage condition with no damages we can find other than open glaze bubble pops in various areas of the exterior surface. Measures approximately 8.50 inches tall, and 8 x 6.50 inches in diameter at its widest points. Weighs approximately 7 lbs. Will weigh between 9 and 10 lbs packaged. More pics upon request.
