Scarce “screened” copy photograph of the “screened” original print shows a view looking at the signal boxes of the London Charing Cross Terminus. Pencil copy on back reads, “Original signal box supplied by Saxby & Farmer to the Southeastern Railway for the opening in 1864 of Charing Cross Terminus. Signals are worked by rod connections and have coloured glasses revolving inside lamps”. Photograph measures 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches and is in excellent condition with no bends, tears, or creases and is very sharp and has strong tones with good contrast and clarity. Back has writing mentioned above plus official “THE MUSEUM OF BRITISH TRANSPORT” stamp (see scans). Please email with any questions and please “VIEW SELLERS OTHER ITEMS”. Thanks. I combine shipping up to 3 prints for the same price as 1. NOTE: I will be listing a number of early trolley and railroad photos. Please check back and view on my ebay store Vintage Photo Works.
