The branches are filled with small pods that resemble silvery coins. EDIBLE leaves are slightly peppery and make a nice salad green. Sow in succession for continuous use all summer. Seed can be planted out as soon as soil in your region can be worked. Germination requires soil temps above 55°. To get a jump start the seed can be sown in cell packs indoors up to 4-6 weeks before soil temperatures are ready to plant out. Harden off before transplanting into desired location.
