This filter is an excellent choice for AM BCB, HAM and SW broadcasts. It is slightly wider than the standard +/- 5 KHz bandwidth of broadcast stations to allow full access to the audio while doing a great job filtering out adjacent channels. If you are chasing DX, you might want something a bit narrower for picking out marginal signals when the band is crowded. But if you have a good signal, you’ll enjoy the slightly wider passband to allow for easy armchair listening the way AM should sound. The electrical specs match the I/O impedance of many popular radios including ICOM, Radio Shack, Ten-Tec, Yaesu etc. The size is small enough to adapt and fit other radios too. Installation won’t be difficult for experienced technicians, but if you have any technical questions, please ask before you buy.
