Warner Bros Original U.S. One-Sheet Poster (27×41) Folded Very Fine Plus Original Warner Bros. U.S. Poster for the Richard Benjamin directed film CITY HEAT (1984) starring Clint Eastwood, Burt Reynolds, John Hancock and Joan Shawlee. The film started out as a script that was written by Blake Edwards. After years of the script just sitting around, it finally got OK’d by Warners. A buddy cop crime movie with two of the biggest stars in movies at that time must have made Warners excited, but as so often happens differing views about the kind of movie being made overwhelmed the project. Blake Edwards was fired from directing the film, a disappointment he carried with him despite a storied career. He was replaced by Richard Benjamin. The film looks great and has a great supporting cast, but was not a hit with audiences, even though it earned 38 million dollars.
