ABC News commemorates the 100th anniversary of the birth of Franklin Delano Roosevelt in a special telecast, “FDR,” airing Friday, January 29 (9:00-11:00 p.m., EST), on the ABC Television Network. The program explores FDR’s profound impact on American political life and on the scope and power of the United States government, here and abroad. “FDR” marks the first time four United States Presidents are interviewed in a single program. President Reagan and former Presidents Carter, Ford and Nixon are interviewed by host David Brinkley. ABC News correspondents joining Brinkley include Peter Jennings, James Wooten, Richard Threlkeld and Robert Trout (who coined the phrase, “Fireside Chat”). Three of the world’s foremost experts on FDR-Arthur M.
