Original decorative-cloth publisher’s binding. Brown cloth with gold-gilt and blind stamping. Coated endpapers. Vignette title page and three full-page engraved plates. 322 pages plus 12 pages of book ads. Condition: Fair. The covers are solid but rubbed and spotted with fraying to the spine ends and corners. The textblock is generally solid and square though two page groups are protruding a bit. The front hinge is stretched but not visibly split. The pages are generally clean and bright but some are tanned and many have spots and/or foxing. Small clear water stain to the bottom corner of about 50 leaves. Front endpapers are tanned. Faint old name to the front free endpaper (Lewis G. Morris). No other writing or marking.
