Offered are these 14 pieces of vintage or antique silverplate silverware. Included are: 1) a set of five silverplate forks, marked both “1847 Rogers Bros.” and “International Silver”. I don’t know the pattern name, but each fork has a narrow floral pattern around the end, with two open cutout areas. There is also a small floral area at the base of the handle. I don’t know exactly how old they are but they are clearly old enough to be vintage if not antique; International Silver was formed in 1898. Each fork is approx. 7 3/4″ long. All are in good condition. I see no damage to the metal and the plating is almost entirely intact, with some light wear, some light marks from use and some light tarnish. 2) a vintage silverplate fork and spoon, made by 1847 Rogers Brothers in the “Ancestral” pattern. Although 1847 Rogers Brothers was a trademark of International Silver, these are not additionally marked “IS” as are many “1847” patterns. Each handle has a raised scrollwork design which is also found in the bowl of the spoon and on the backs of both pieces. The pattern began production in 1924 and continued into the early 1970s. There are no monograms. The spoon about 5 7/8″ long and the fork about 7 1/8″ long. Both are in good condition. The plating is mostly intact, but there are a few small spots of wear and light tarnish. 3) a set of four silverplate three-tined appetizer or hors d’oeuvre forks, made by Winthrop. An identical 1920s pattern by International Silver is called “Drexel”. I haven’t been able to find out anything about the Winthrop Co. so perhaps it was one of the International Silver components? Each fork is approx. 5 3/8″ long. All are in very good condition. I see no damage to the metal and the plating is intact. There are some light marks from use and some light tarnish. and 4) three large silverplate spoons, made by William Rogers Mfg. Co. of Hartford, part of International Silver. Included are two tablespoons and one serving spoon, all in the same pattern of a stylized wheat design. I don’t know how old these are but the Art Deco look to the pattern might date these to the 1930s-1940s. Each tablespoon is approx. 7 1/4″ long and the serving spoon is about 8 1/4″ long. All are in good condition. The plating is intact on the top side, with a few minor dark spots. There is some wear to the plating on the undersides, especially on the bowls, and some light tarnish.
