Contains: Shoulder Sleeve Insignia Map of Guadalcanal Division Order of Battle The division landed at on 7 August 1942 to begin the first offensive operations against Japanese Forces in the Pacific Theater. The division elements included the 1st 5th and 7th Marine Regiments among others. The division was on Guadalcanal until December when they were relieved by the Americal Division.
